Young Masters Success Story
The Young Masters program was developed in 2017 with the hopes of developing young art students into well rounded artists. Learning not only how to develop their own crafts, but experiencing other art disciplines, being mentored by other professional artists as well as learning other important roles in the arts such as curating, business development and being able to mentor their peers.
One of our shining stars was referred by his then teacher, Erika Cespedes
from Dreyfoos HS, student Marc Ludwigsen.
He was eager to learn all the aspects of the program and absorbed the information quickly. Marc continued to thrive artistically.
He not only participated in all three Young Masters programs at Continuum. But he also participated in his first non-student professional art exhibition, ATB's Boys to Men Art Expo IV and sold one of his exhibited pieces at the show.
Marc continued to grow as a true artist, not afraid to push the boundaries that many adult artists may fear to explore.
Marc has shown great leadership and inspired his peers, even when the going got tough. Mentoring can be challenging, especially for a young person. It isn't easy telling your friends that they need to do better.
But he did it, so they could all grow together.
Marc has won numerous Young Masters awards and scholarships over the three years.
We are proud to receive word that he has been accepted to Watkins College of Art in Nashville.
Here is his note to us :
I just wanted to let you guys know that I will be going out of state for school attending Watkins College of Art in Nashville on a full scholarship! I can’t begin thank you guys enough for all of the opportunities you have provided me. You’re mentorship has truly shaped me as an artist. I hope I can stay involved with Continuum one way or another.
Thanks for everything,
Marc Ludwigsen.
Thanks for everything,
Marc Ludwigsen.
We congratulate you on your next journey. You will always be part of the Continuum Family.
