CONTINUUM PB Arts 2021 Virtual 2021

 

 

CONTINUUM Palm Beach Art is a pop up multi-media art fair in Palm Beach County exhibiting regional South Florida artists.  Over the last 7 years, CONTINUUM has provided opportunities for emerging, mid-career and fully established artists as well as young artists developing technical skills, business knowledge and mentoring prowess from art pros in the field.

 Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, curators ATB Fine Art Group Inc. and Craig McInnis Studios had to make some conscious decisions to protect both the welfare of the artists, the pedestrians as well as the integrity of CONTINUUM as a whole.

For the last two years, the event has been the main fundraising resource for the No More Starving Artists Foundation to help raise money for programs, grants and scholarships for projects like Art Aid, the Young Masters' Program and other Business Development opportunities. NMSAF mission is to help primarily Palm Beach County artists be sustainable personally and professionally by providing opportunities and services.

 The decision was made after October 31, 2020 (usually the deadline for the submission) to do a 12”x12” online auction on March 19, 2021. Like many other art fairs in South Florida that had to make similar decisions, this is because of the uncertainty of what was going on with the virus and vaccine for the public. The curators felt this was still an opportunity for both the artists and NMSAF.

 There will also be online lectures, artists’ talks and art classes to provide our collectors, art professionals and the South Florida community with some of the consistent programming CONTINUUM has provided over the last 7 years. We are hoping that Year 9 will allow us to provide some form of normalcy that we have provided in the past. However, this year we can provide you with the uniqueness of something new yet just as innovative and fun.

Mark Allen on E-Bay.

Artist Mark Allen has been a participant of Continuum for 5 of our 7 years. He and his family decided to move from the South Florida area. He was nice enough to contribute a piece last year as a donation. Our main Online CONTINUUM PB Arts Auction will take place on March 19. However, we will host a sneak preview with Mark's piece on January 21, 2021.
