CityPlace Welcomes CONTINUUM WPB Arts

Location: (700 S. Rosemary Avenue Ste. 120, WPB, FL. 33401)

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (January 6, 2017) –  Approaching its fourth year, the vision of this pop up multi-media art fair held in the City of WPB during ArtPalmBeach Week exhibiting regional South Florida artists has been very successful. Over the last three years, over 150 South Florida artists have exhibited at this art fair. This year, 52 artists from Brevard County to Dade will be showcased at this alternative fine art fair.
CONTINUUM WPB Arts started as a grassroots effort of ATB Fine Artists & Designers LLC’s husband & wife team Anthony & Trina Burks, fellow artist and art activist Craig McInnis and a team of local artists from the Palm Beach County area. With the assistance of the West Palm Beach Arts & Entertainment District as well as many sponsors such as PNC Bank and Bombay Sapphire, the last three years put this little engine that could on top very quickly as the must see of art fairs in South Florida in the new year.
CityPlace, one of Palm Beach County’s most favorite shopping and entertainment destinations is welcoming CONTINUUM WPB in 2017. This move was made as a decision due to the fast changes in the real estate market. Curator and founder Trina Slade-Burks states: “When the idea for CONTINUUM first came about, we would seek locations that were empty for long periods of time. Raphael Clemente and his team would choose a spot that could eventually be activated by a potential business owner. Pop-ups bring an opportunity for this to happen. We are proud to say that CONTINUUM as brought those opportunities for leasing agreements because of these activations.”
One of the great things about this new move is the fact that CONTINUUM WPB will be close to partners ArtSynergy and ArtPalmBeach who will be at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. Partner, Rolando Chang Barrero commented about the new move: “I think it's great! I get to attend more events since all I have to do is cross the street from Art Palm Beach. With the richness of all the programs I can just drop in and then return to the convention center without much ado”
CONTINUUM WPB Arts mission has always been to collaborate different artistic disciplines while enhancing the community.  It accomplishes this through their well known events and supporting a local art based charity. This year’s charity is Resource Depot, which will be supported by CONTINUUM’s annual VIP Black Tie & Sneaker Charity Fundraiser Gala, which auctions hand painted sneakers painted by local artists.  Some of the other returning events include: Brunch & Lecture11:30am-2:00pm and  Meet the Artists  3:00pm-5:00pm on Sunday, January 22, 2017 as well as Mélange fashion show and  body painting competition  featuring designer collaborations by fashion designer Bella Redd Collections and artist J Love Gironda as well as Men’s Wear SIR by Eddie Edwards on Saturday, January 28, 2017.
CONTINUUM is welcoming a new program to its lineup. Young Masters of CONTINUUM WPB will be highlighting what is fresh and new in the student art world in Palm Beach County.  Subculture Group/Moonfest is providing scholarship opportunities to the student participants. Workshops for any art student from ages 13-17 will be available as well as the award presentations will be taking place Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 12:00pm-9:00pm.
